Muhammed Ali! There's a man who could cure AIDS, watching Ali in his youth last night on the idiot box got the Ice-cream I was eating hard. Muthafucka was Cold! Getting your ass whipped by Ali was a privilege, like hearing Rolihlahla in his youth or having an OCD girlfriend addicted to fellatio. The man was amazing he was like Einstein with gloves and some awesome face-wash. He was like a machine in a man suit!
But then the commentator got lame so I hit FFWD on the PVR and whoa Nelly! There it was, the truth, Ruth. Ali the old man barely able to shoot off a sentence or a turd, it was heart-breaking, sad, mind-boggling and inevitable.
You see when you kick us much as let's say Ali, Reynolds, Boris Becker's stylist or David Bowie, time and VD takes its toll on you. Like Rob Reiner for instance, in "This is Spinal Tap" he singlehandedly created what I felt was one of the funniest and seminal -yes I used the term seminal- films mine eyes have ever seen. And then 25 years later he ruins this all with the "Bucket List". Morgan Freemanmandela and Senor Nicholson, it should've been like Burt Reynold's growing Facial Hair or Ryk Neethling breathing under water... Fuckin Amazing! Instead it was soft -like Freeman and Nicholson considering they're both like 101- and tired and oh so fuckin come on give me black my R48.00!
But then rewind 25 years prior and we have a work of genius decorated by timeless mods, acid metal rock and a handful of groupies so vuil, that not even a ton of Jika Majika could get them clean.
This is Spinal Tap is effing unbelievable, makes sense Gervais refers to it as his favourite film of all time, the tool stole Reiner's entire model and made millions off it! If you wanna see awkward Mockumentary humor at its best go get This is Spinal Tap in fact buy two, because "Sex Farm" is such an amazing song that one listen will never do it justice. And with other titles like "Lick my love pump" what else is there not to like. Its brilliant filled with such idiotic humour that even Julius would pause and take notes, such as Tufnel remarking "you see how your blood is blue" or when David St. Hubbins screams out to his adoring fans "We are Spinal tap from the UK! You must be the USA!"
You can't make this shit up.
Its brilliant, so effing brilliant.
WATCH IT, STEAL IT, BUY IT!
Do something but you have to see this Gem before you can ever claim to understand the beauty and grace in stupidity.

P.s while you're at it someone go give Rob Reiner a firm kick in the fanny and tell him to start churning out more Spinal Tap and less Spinal poo...
It's definitely not the greatest film ever, but god damn it does it come close
